2008/10/23 12:45:03 by LadyHawk

Games

Valve's class-based multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2 won't receive its next major update until next year, marketing VP Doug Lombardi has informed Shacknews.

Games : Far Cry 2 (PC)

2008/9/25 20:45:10 by LadyHawk

At a Far Cry 2 multiplayer session this week, hosted by Ubisoft in downtown San Francisco, the scene was more or less one straight out of Xbox LIVE. It's also been heralded as the game that fight-hungry PvPers will want to call home. And last but not least, it's the first earnest attempt by one of the world's biggest publishers -- created by one of the most renowned development teams in the business -- to carve out a place in the lopsided MMO market.

EA has officially terminated acquisition discussions with Take-Two.
By GameSpy Staff | Sept. 15, 2008

The penny has finally dropped. EA has issued an official statement which sees the publishing giant back away from the recent acquisition attempts of Take-Two. Electronic Arts first launched its conditional and unsolicited bid for Take-Two around six months ago, a bid which has been repeatedly knocked by Take-Two's shareholders. Here's EA's statement in full, followed by Take-Two's.
